Santiago, here we come. . .a day late :(
I should be on a plane right now, halfway to Santiago, Chile. Instead, I'm sitting on my couch in Dallas, Texas, watching The Thomas Crown Affair (hubby loves this movie more than I will ever understand) on network television. Not exactly what I envisioned for my night.
However, American Airlines delayed our Santiago flight to 8:00 a.m. tomorrow. Seriously? How can a flight be delayed overnight? Even worse, it was "on time" until two hours before takeoff - meaning David and I were packed, ready to go, and actually in the process of checking our bags at DFW when the flight status changed. Lovely. Luckily, we were able to extend our return flight by one day, so we will actually be staying in Chile for 5 nights instead of 4. Perhaps there is a silver lining in this slight hiccup.
